Screening at the Enzian

Casual Encounters will be screening at the Enzian Theater's September Edition of Film Slam on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011.  There will be a short Q&A will the filmmakers about their films as well. Come out and support local filmmaking in orlando!

Ready to screen...

Hello everyone,

We are picture locked, color corrected, with a final sound mix, and any other good things I'm leaving out! We will be screening the film at the UCF Directing 3 Screener on Friday, May 6th at 7PM (stay tuned for any changes on the time). We hope to see you there!

Thank you to everyone involved in the Post-Production process (Brandon, Jon, Julie, Remi, Lennon) for all of your hard work. You are all very talented and your effort is very much appreciated. :-)

Post-Production: We made it through to the other side!

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for visiting the Casual Encounters site. We have just wrapped production and are heading into post-production. We are lucky to have great support from a diligent and talented post-production team. Also, thank you to everyone who worked on the set and to those who came by to spend some time and lend a hand. Your support for our project is much appreciated!

Casting...

We will be holding auditions on Saturday, February 19th between 1pm and 6pm at the UCF main Campus in the Nicholson School of Communications.  Below is a synopsis of the film and a short description of the characters. We will be shooting in the Orlando area March 11-13. Synopsis:

Casual Encounters is the story of three strangers who decide to live out a fantasy and end up facing their reality. Steve is a reserved young man who has become tired of listening to stories of his best friend, Rick’s, sexual exploits and jokes about Steve’s lack thereof. He makes the choice to do something a little dangerous and unexpected when he meets two young women through Craigslist in order to live out a sexual fantasy.  Veronica, takes control of the situation as she seems to have done this sort of thing before. Jill is just as nervous as Steve but also decides to throw caution to the wind.  The three try to keep their rendezvous as impersonal as possible, meeting in a dimly lit bar and using fake names. However, their attempt to keep their affair as a one night encounter back-fires when Jill gets hired at the bookstore where Steve and Rick work and Rick introduces them both to his date for the night, Veronica.

Character Breakdowns:

• Steve – mid 20’s, reserved, lonely, ready to try something new.
• Veronica – mid 20’s, sultry, promiscuous, risk taker
• Jill – mid 20’s, calculated, careful, trying to have new experiences
